Scalp Micropigmentation for Women and Men
I'm going to open with this - DID YOU KNOW THAT 50% OF WOMEN OVER 50 YEARS OLD SUFFER WITH HAIR LOSS? The reason I trained in scalp micropigmentation is because I was increasingly meeting women that were affected by hair loss. Hair density treatments are an excellent way to give the illusion of thicker hair, therefore making them a perfect choice for women too.
Scalp micropigmentation isn't just for men wishing to have a shaved head look, which has traditionally been the case. Whilst I do carry out the treatment to replicate a 'buzz cut', I can equally blend into thinning, fine hair. This is an incredibly versatile treatment, which is a great long term solution for men and women wishing to disguise hair loss.
Hair loss or thinning hair can really affect someone's confidence. I have met many clients who have confessed to changing their lives quite drastically after experiencing hair loss. My clients have told me that they no longer go on holiday, because they are so self conscious of others seeing their hair wet. Similarly, I had one client tell me that she won't go out when it's windy and has stopped playing golf so her friends can't see her hair loss - she used to win awards all the time for golf, she's incredible!
Hair loss is something that is very difficult for many to talk about. It's a sensitive subject that for those that have experienced it, can be traumatic. At a consultation, I always ask my clients about why they have contacted me and what they hope to get from the treatment. The response rarely involves a pure aesthetic expectation - it nearly always involves them wanting to feel more confident and happy in themselves. That's the real value, in my opinion.

What is Scalp Micropigmentation?
I offer the follicle simulation technique, which involves tattooing thousands of micro dots onto your scalp, to replicate your natural hair follicle pattern. This is a highly advanced and effective form of scalp micropigmentation, providing the most natural and realistic results. I don't offer any hair stroke tattooing, as this is extremely unnatural. What if the wind blows your hair and you have tattoo strokes in one direction, whilst your hair is blowing in another......!? I think that's enough said about that!
I use pigments specifically made for this treatment, ensuring that the colour fades out naturally over time. This is considered a permanent treatment, although a colour boost will be required approximately every 4-6 years to keep the colour looking fresh. I am a real believer in 'future proofing' my treatments, so it is important to me that the pigment fades out naturally over time thereby providing the most natural result.
For clients that are having density treatment (working into the existing hair, so not a 'buzz' cut), it is possible to layer warmer coloured pigments into the area. This is something that will be discussed with you at a consultation, as we can discuss the best treatment plan and options for you.
